Meet the Pro Staff

Danny Winn

Danny grew up fishing saltwater on both sides of the Chesapeake Bay in both Maryland and Virginia, as well as the Atlantic Coast and a little bit of Delaware. He has also fished in every southern state along the Atlantic seaboard and even the Gulf of Mexico. With all of that, he has even managed to do some inland fishing too. His catches include most species of North American Gamefish both inshore as well as offshore. Danny holds multiple citations from Maryland and Virginia, and is a Drake field expert and proud to be on the Old Skool Pro-Staff. “My passion is inshore light tackle lure casting for specks, reds, and Rockfish. Livin the dream in God's country.”

Kyle Whaley

Kyle grew up fishing all over the Delmarva Peninsula, specifically for speckled trout and striped bass in the shallows.  From a young age he has received citations in both the Chesapeake Bay and Delaware Bay.  Kyle prefers to release the breeders and keep the juveniles.  His passions have switched from being the guy behind the rod to mentoring his son and others the finer points of the fishery.

Carter Whaley

Carter has been fishing since the age of 3 and even received his first citation at the age of 5 for a 28" speckled trout.  He has won several tournaments in the youth division and has also competed as an adult.  Carter is a rare breed that works tirelessly at his craft.  Carter is definitely a rising star in the angling community.

Nick Wallace

Nick calls Sparrows Point, MD home.  Proud husband and father of 2 kids, he was born and raised on Back River.  Growing up he fished for perch and catfish off of his pier before eventually owning a boat and venturing out into the Chesapeake Bay.  In 2012 he decided to take rockfishing seriously and went all in.  He bought a Sea Boss 18’ center console from a buddy, picked up some light tackle rods and never looked back.  Currently, a Tidewater 220cc is his preferred mode of transportation where he fishes the mid to upper bay with his wife, kids, family, and friends.  You can find him out on the water multiple times a week during the season.  “From top water, to jigging, to swim baits, to stick baits, and casting metal, if it’s light tackle I’m all in.  My latest mission is passing on my passion of the outdoors, fishing and hunting, to my children.  My wife and I spend countless hours covering the bay, teaching our kids, learning, and enjoying the life we are so lucky to live.”
